A couple weeks ago we went to Point Reyes to meet up with a local artist named Tom Killion. We met him at the Sausalito Art Festival last year and have been thinking of buying one of his pieces. He told us he would be around his studio all day and to call before we came up. Point Reyes is about an hour north of the city on the coast. We left him a message before we started up but then could not find him once we got there. I made the mistake in assuming he would have a commercial studio in town, but turns out his studio was really his house. Making things worse, we couldn't get any cell phone coverage and when we finally did call him from one of the shops he wasn't there. Hippies!! We're still pretty high on his stuff, so maybe we'll go back sometime soon. Here is a link to his site if you're interested.
